What is a SmartMart, and How Does it Work?

Our SmartMarts use advanced AI vision technology to track inventory and transactions in real-time, allowing customers to grab items and walk away without the need for scanning or checkout lines. Get a curated selection of old favorites, healthier choices and chilled and fresh meal options.

Unlike traditional vending machines, which require customers to select and pay for items before dispensing, our SmartMarkets allow you to pick up and evaluate items before you decide to buy them.

Can our Company choose the products that go into the SmartMart Machine?

Yes – your company is instrumental in the products that are offered. We believe it is important to provide a good variety of traditional, healthy, chilled and fresh products in order to satisfy everyone.

We will initially fill the machine with the most popular products selling in our area. Later, we will meet with you to discuss changes to the selections and your suggestions.

What type of products will be stocked in the SmartMart Machines?

Your SmartMart machine will carry what your employees and customers value the most. Likely you’ll have a combination of traditional drinks such as Coke, water, and energy drinks, along with healthier choices such as salads and sandwiches. Machines will also contain a variety of snacks and candy.

How often is the SmartMart Machine stocked?

Our machines are equipped with wireless remote monitoring technology so we know if a product selection is running low. If it is determined that a machine needs to be serviced more often to maintain inventory, we can set up a more frequent service schedule.

Who stocks the SmartMart Machine?

We do. We will monitor, stock and service the equipment as often is necessary. We are well trained to ensure that the quality of service provided is far superior to anything you may have experienced before with traditional vending machines.

What does it cost to install a SmartMart?

Most SmartMart placements are provided at no upfront cost to qualifying workplaces. In many cases, BayFront Vending covers the equipment, installation, and ongoing service, and your organization only pays for the products your employees and visitors purchase. During your consultation, we’ll review your location, traffic, and goals to confirm eligibility and outline any site-specific considerations.

What happens if the machine has a technical issue?

SmartMarts are monitored remotely, and our service team is alerted to many issues before your team even notices a problem. If a technical issue does occur, you can contact us directly, and we’ll troubleshoot, dispatch a technician if needed, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Our goal is to minimize downtime so your employees always have reliable access to refreshments.

What are the contract terms for a SmartMart?

Contract terms vary by location, but typically include placement duration, service expectations, and access requirements. We review all terms with you during the proposal stage and provide a written agreement for your approval before installation.
